The MITA M·GEL cooling tower is a device designed and built specifically for the recover of water, by means of cooling, used in the circuits of equipment normally used by ice-cream parlours (pasteurisers, creamers, refrigerators, etc.). Refrigerating machines are water cooled and use huge amounts of water.

The ideal solution to avoid wasting water is the use of a cooling tower that exploits a simple natural principle, whereby forced evaporation of a minimum quantity of water causes a reduction in the temperature of the main mass of water. The cooliong tower is compact and small, nearly entirely built from plastic (fibre-glass) and has a centrifugal fan systems plus water recycling pump. The tower is pre-assembled on a hot galvanized steel trolley fitted with castor wheels for easy movement. It comes in an outdoor version ("free" air venting, when fitted outside the workshop) and an indoor one ("ducted" air extraction system, for installation inside the workshop, in which case a wall vent need to be fitted for the saturated air). The direction of the water and air intake fittings can be adjusted to suit individual plant.

CONSTRUCTION DATA:

  • Casing complete with access door, fan and pump guards and air extraction hood (internal version only), all made from gelcoated fibre-glass with a shiny finish.
  • The decision to use fibre-glass makes for a light-weight, non corroding, top quality product, given that the tower is constantly in contact with water, that lasts for ages and needs very little maintenance.
  • Hot galvanized steel structure, complete with wheels for movement (optional).
  • PVC heat exchange pack and droplet separator, easily accessed and removed for cleaning and/or replacement.
